The FCI Head Office informs the FCI members and contract partners that the standard of the Hollandse Herdershond (Dutch Shepherd Dog) (223)  has been amended upon request of the FCI Member (Raad van Beheer) from the country of origin of the breed and following approval of the FCI General Committee on December 21st , 2019.

The change was made in § FCI-CLASSIFICATION:

Group 1   Sheepdogs and Cattledogs (except Swiss Cattledogs)
Section 1 Sheepdogs
Without working trial With working trial

As a result, the FCI Breeds Nomenclature has been updated accordingly: the breed is now a  breed subject to a working trial.

As Utility and Herding dog breed, the Dutch Shepherd Dog

  • is now eligible for the CACIT and CACITR,

  • can now obtain the title of C.I.T. (Champion International de Travail) and C.I.TR. (Champion International de Troupeau),

  • can now be entered in working class at FCI international CACIB shows.
