Dear Dog Lovers
The illegal puppy trade in the European Union and other parts of the world causes complex dog health and welfare problems. In many cases, those – mistakenly – blamed for the consequences are the registered, responsible breeders with an FCI-registered kennel name.
That is one of the reasons why the FCI is organising its first online conference for the general public
on 4 February 2025 from 2 pm CET, with the title
Illegal Puppy Trade in the European Union – Causes, consequences, and solutions
Participation is free of charge, but registration is necessary at the following link,
where the agenda is also available.
Kind regards,
Dr Tamás Jakkel
FCI President
