Press Release: General Assembly 20-21 June 2022

Further to the FCI General Assembly Meeting held in Madrid (ES) please find the results and main decisions which were made:  

FORMAL APPOINTEMENTS

Formal appointment of the Section representatives as General Committee members: 

Formal appointment of the three members of the Financial commission (1 member per Section) 

ELECTIONS

Election of the FCI General Committee members (mandates until 2025):

Election of the FCI President (mandate until 2023)

Election of the members of the FCI mandatory commissions:

• Standards Commission (mandates until 2025): 
   

• Scientific Commission (mandates until 2025): 

• Disciplinary and Arbitration Commission: NO ELECTIONS (ongoing mandates until 2023)             

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS

The following countries are now  FCI Full members:

• Georgia (Fédération Cynologique de Géorgie)
• Montenegro (Kinoloski Savez Crne Gore - Kennel Club of Montenegro)

MAIN DECISIONS

Further to the proposals of the FCI mandatory Commissions (Standards and Scientific):

• The THAI BANGKAEW DOG (358) has been granted definitive recognition and is immediately eligible for the FCI CACIB at the Madrid WDS (the FCI website will be updated accordingly).

Further to the proposals of the FCI full members 

• The creation of a new FCI non-mandatory Commission for Water Work has been approved (proposal of the  German Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen  - VDH) 

World Dog Shows

• The FCI World Dog Show and General Assembly 2025 will be held in Finland  (FI)  -  Helsinki  - 08–10/08/2025
• The FCI World Dog Show 2026 will be held in Italy (IT)  - Milan  - 04–07/06/2026 
• The FCI World Dog Show and General Assembly 2027 will be held in Austria (AT)  - Wels  - 29/04–02/05/2027

Other important issues were tabled and discussed.  The FCI will provide a more detailed feedback later.

During the meeting of the FCI General Committee held on June 21 2022, right after the FCI General Assembly meeting, the FCI Executive Committee under Dr Támas Jakkel, FCI President elected on June 20 2022, has been composed as follows:
